This dwelling prototype is conceived as a house which uses the fundamentals of passive solar design to be the main factors driving the aesthetic of the house.
It has clean lines and uses a hybrid structure of primarily timber post and beam in conjunction with steel flitch connections.
The dwelling design uses traditional render/stonework, and a zinc roof as the main materials used on the dwelling.
This house was designed to sit on a podium above the contours of the sloping site, due to a high water table and potential for flooding adjacent the site.
The dwelling was granted planning in 2010
