Monanore 2008

This project was commission as a simple 2 storey dwelling on an elevated site adjacent to a wind-farm.

The design proposal was devised to maximise passive solar gain, by using a sun space which acts a solar trap to passively contribute to the heating of the dwelling which wraps around it.

 The aesthetic is paired back and simple rural traditional vernacular.

The construction is a wide cavity wall.

The house was completed in 2010.
